Vittorio Veneto Battle Museum

Piazza Giovanni Paolo I, Vittorio Veneto (TV)

The Vittorio Veneto Battle of Vittorio Veneto Museum was founded in 1938 following the donation by ex-combatant Luigi Marson of his collection of objects, artefacts and documents, collected on the battlefields and even before the end of the war. The museum was subsequently enriched with artefacts and documents acquired by the many witnesses and their heirs.

In 2012, the museum was restored while retaining its ancient history in one section.

In the exhibition rooms, thanks to multimedia supports, history is narrated from a multitude of stories, micro-stories, tales, small fragments, anecdotes, excerpts of memories, capable of recomposing together a great choral narration on the First World War, to give voice not only to the great deeds of the acclaimed heroes, but rather to the small daily gestures of ordinary madness, to the absurd normality of war.
