MARLESS project ‘Cross-border Awareness and Innovation Actions on Marine Litter’

Project aimed at secondary schools

An educational path promoted by the Veneto Region aimed at secondary schools in the provinces of Padua, Rovigo and Venice. The project is aimed at raising awareness on the problem of marine waste in the Adriatic Sea and on the importance of combating waste abandonment, promoting separate waste collection with in-depth studies on plastic consumption, highlighting characteristics, fields of use and alternative materials that can replace it.

The main objective of the project is to promote an improvement in the environmental quality of the sea and coastal area through the reduction of waste in the environment.

Aqua, through the use of sustainable and innovative technologies and approaches, was responsible for

  • organisation of educational paths
  • operational implementation in the classroom
  • realisation of an educational kit for students and teachers
  • organisation and management of a video pathway
